My advice is to stock up now before a more serious outbreak occurs.
Not to be an alarmist, but your best defense against a catastrophic pandemic is a good, safe supply of food and water.
You can buy emergency rations of food at many discount stores or over the internet. Start a garden for some fresh produce. Get rainbarrels and some water sanitizing supplies.
Look at it this way- even if there is not a real emergency, the stored food and garden can help offset those rising grocery bills.
